Group Classes
Our Group Training classes at Lions Den SMP are designed to help improve all aspects of health and fitness and will touch on various methodologies. We are looking to progress our members with the goal of overall preparation in life; whether you participate in ball or endurance sports, hiking, skiing, or just daily activities.
Our classes touch on several aspects of health and fitness including: Strength, Endurance, Metabolic Conditioning (MetCon), Interval Training, and Mobility. We will improve your performance and get you feeling good day in and day out.
The foundation of our approach is built around movement understanding and competency (which we work on with every member). Then we use a variety of free weight tools: barbells, kettlebells, steel maces, clubs, slam balls, battle ropes, and more to test and improve those skills in challenging and fun workouts.
Our Group Class schedule varies throughout the year and seasons, please make sure to check MINDBODY for classes and class times.
Strength
Our Group Strength Classes are designed for all around performance, touching on many aspects including quality movement understanding, strength and conditioning, and effectively preparing you for outdoor activities, sports, or just day-to-day life. We are looking to progress our members in fundamental strength movements and then use a variety of free weight tools to test and improve movement skill and strength. The class will start with a strength component and then work through a Metabolic Conditioning (metcon) component. The metcon portion will challenge you using many different implements whether it is cardio equipment, kettlebells, steel maces, clubs, slam balls, battle ropes, sleds or even just your body with short bouts of higher-intensity training designed to increase metabolic demand and increase energy usage. The goal is to achieve and sustain a high effort output while emphasizing strong movement principles and challenging movement competency.
